Anyone else trying out 777 challenge?

(7 days of 7xspeed, 7 glasses of water, 7.0 syns)

On day 4 and feel like it's going well, apart from all the trips to the loo. Feeling less bloated. But keep running out of syns and feeling a bit deprived in the evening when I'd usually have some choc shot and fruit or an options.

Plan to press on and see what the loss is at 7 days...

Hi i just wanted to know tht everybody says tht u cnt do spot reduction so these all challenges are focused on single body part so by doing these challenges one by one will it show any diff ? Because i have know tht spot reduction is nt possible.

Ruchita, these challenges are about muscle buildup, not fat reduction. If you do these challenges, you will gain strength in your inner thighs, and if your diet remains the same as before, you will likely lose some fat, in whichever part of your body normally loses fat first.

For the thigh slimming challenge, do we need to do, for example: on he first day there are three exercises, do we do three sets each? and so on for the second, third day ect.
Or just the exercise so listed once each?

I have a question, once you hit day 30 of the challenge how do you keep these exercises in your routine? Since I am doing the arms, butt, thigh, and abs challenge by the last day I will be doing quite a bit. Should I then break it down to focus on a body part each day, and maybe add more exercises that focus on that particular body part?

So in on this! I never mind working my thighs and I loooove these moves! Hoping for an arm challenge next month, it would be so cool to seriously tone up those arms and shoulders in time for tank top season! ?

Today is all about me sharing with you the slimming world speed foods list so that you can pick and choose your favourite speed foods, my speed food inspired soup week and the more about speed foods if you are not familiar with them.

Benefits on offer to employees on diet & hydration include vouchers for the Slimming World programme and improved meal options in the staff canteen. For physical activity, PepsiCo has organised for staff to take part in physical activity challenges such as the Global Corporate Challenge to increase their daily step count. Health kiosk screening has also been made available so that employees can track their health. On mental wellbeing, PepsiCo is an active participant in mental-health awareness campaigns such as the Time to Talk Days; employees recorded over 28 hours of 5-minute conversations about mental health with their colleagues in 2015 and 25 hours in 2016.

After the Global Corporate Challenge in 2016, 74 per cent of employees are meeting the recommendation of 10,000 steps per day, up from 22 per cent prior to the challenge in the same year. 72 per cent of employees who tracked their weight during the challenge reported weight loss.

Prolonged and convoluted approval processes have been identified as contributing factors to delays in obtaining governance approval and holding up research activities including recruitment and opening sites in new areas [10, 11]. The system of obtaining approvals is still not always consistent (for example local national health service (NHS) governance bodies often raise multiple queries relating to ethics and/or design that are global rather than local). At the time of this trial, the health research authority (HRA) had not introduced their streamlined process which intends to make this aspect of gaining approvals more coordinated. The system is still not fully operational and challenges remain. There are well documented issues relating to availability of eligible participants including the tendency to overestimate the eligible population [12].

This paper reports challenges faced in delivering the weight loss maintenance in adults (WILMA) trial. This unique trial was originally designed as a pragmatic RCT of a complex public health intervention delivered in non-NHS community settings (such as community centres) to an obese adult population who had already achieved a 5 % weight loss. This level of weight loss has been shown to be associated with improved cardiovascular disease risk factors [15]. It aimed to evaluate the impact of an individually tailored intervention on participant body mass index (BMI) 3 years from randomisation [16]. Participants were individually randomised to one of three arms: an intensive intervention arm, a less intensive intervention arm and a control arm. Those in the two experimental arms received a 12 month intervention based on motivational interviewing (MI) and self-monitoring while the control arm received an information pack and usual care. Follow-up assessments were planned for 6, 12, 24 and 36 months post-randomisation.

Hannah Bacon is Associate Professor in Feminist Theology and acting Head of the Department of Theology and Religious Studies. She has recently written Feminist theology and contemporary dieting culture, which is published by Bloomsbury. The book draws on her research conducted inside one UK secular commercial weight loss group to show how particular Christian ideas to do with sin and salvation are recycled and put to work in a secular commercial slimming context.

As part of her research, Professor Bacon joined one regional slimming club as a participant observer. She said: It was really important to me to actually get inside the weight loss company and give women in the group the opportunity to share their experiences of slimming; I also wanted to experience what it was like to be a member for myself.
