Hi,

I just compiled and installed Lusca-Head as of 0800 GMT today, and it went
through well. However, I see the following messages repeated over and over
again in "cache.log":

icmpSend: send: (111) Connection refused
Closing Pinger socket on FD 15
Pinger socket opened on FD 15
pingerOpen: icmp_sock: (1) Operation not permitted

Is there something to be concerned about?

Regards
HASSAN

Did you intall the icmp program as suid and owned by root?

ICMP program? Hmm... I seem to be a little lost here. Can you
explain a bit more?

ICMP works by using an external process - pinger - which is suid root
and does the pinging on behalf of the main process.
