When using Trigger, you will hear tight, phase-accurate drum triggering without unwanted miss-triggers, flamming, or phasing. Kick samples line up tightly with the original kick drums, snare drum transients align perfectly, and tom fills come out exactly like the original tracks.

Each sample layer has parameters for customization such as velocity, dynamic control, attack, sustain, release, and independent levels. Other features include 2 detection modes, MIDI in/out, automatic parameter detection, up to 127 different articulations per instrument, up to 127 velocity layers per instrument, up to 127 alternation hits per velocity layer, and the ability to convert audio tracks to MIDI.

The biggest problem with drum replacement is false triggers caused by mic bleed from other drums bleeding into the spot mics. To solve this problem, Trigger has the unique ability to be instructed not to be activated by certain leakages on a drum track via its Leakage Suppression mode. Using the Leakage Suppression technology you can trigger a drum track with 100% accuracy even if the drum track has loud bleed from other drums. Trigger Expansion also contains a transient-triggered gate that is the ultimate tool for cleaning up tracks with excess leakage. Trigger also comes with three latency modes, and can work with live triggering using a 4ms Live Mode.

Trigger comes with a library of industry-standard Steven Slate drum samples. Elite mixers such as Chris Lord Alge, Mike Shipley, Dave Way, Jeff Juliano, Jay Baumgardner, Ben Grosse, David Kahn, and many more top names have relied on Steven Slate drums to enhance the drum sounds in their mixes for years. All the samples in Steven Slate Drums are recorded to 2-inch tape and processed with the finest in vintage and modern analog gear. in Steven Slate Drums feature three sample layers including stereo room mic samples from the famous NRG RECORDING in North Hollywood, California. Trigger can also load expansion libraries such as Steven Slate Deluxe, Chris Lord Alge, and Terry Date.

Trigger 2 by Slate Digital is one of the many tools available today for drum replacement. It works by analyzing audio as it enters the plug-in, and triggers a sample when a peak or transient passes the set threshold. Trigger 2 is the most common drum replacement tool on the market and is used by industry professionals to enhance their drum sound and to fill in space where their recordings fall short. Drum replacement has become common practice for both professionals and amateurs alike. Trigger 2 has many adjustable parameters to accurately and realistically replace drums with samples. Here are some insights to the plug-in as well as tips on replacing drums for the most accurate sound.

Once everything on the waveform analysis side is dialed in, you can choose your sample. There are two options to choose from: One-shots or Trigger presets (TCI files). A one-shot is an audio file of a drum hit, they are only one velocity and are less dynamic. Trigger presets are a collection of audio files with multiple one-shots of different velocities, as well as a blend of different mics used to record the drum. Using

Trigger presets allows you to be more dynamic when using drum samples. They usually contain a range of velocities from soft hits to hard hits of a specific drum. Conversely, one-shots are only one velocity (i.e. soft, medium or hard). Both will utilize a triggers velocity capture but in different ways. For one-shots, Trigger will read the dynamic information of the waveform and determine at what volume the one shot will be played back. For instance, if you use a hard snare hit one-shot, when a lower velocity hit is captured, Trigger will play the one-shot back, at a lower volume. On the other hand, if you use a trigger preset, when a lower velocity is captured, Trigger will play back a one- shot in the preset that correlates to the velocity. While there are some situations that require a one-shot, Trigger presets are more often the way to go.

Trigger 2 is a great tool and as you can see, there is no one button fix all. It is all about a combination of parameters and having the knowledge to use them. Pairing Trigger 2 with great samples, like the ones we have here at Drum Sample Shop will yield the best results. Each mix is different and every kit is unique. The more you apply different techniques and continue to practice, the better your projects will sound.

The plaintiff, a SandRidge stockholder that supports the consent solicitation, brought suit, arguing that the incumbent board breached its fiduciary duties by failing to approve the rival slate so that such nominees if elected would not trigger the Proxy Put.

In my piece today, I conveyed the wisdom of some Hill aides who thought the most likely way out of the debt ceiling fight was a vote on a spending cap -- something like Sen. Claire McCaskill's "CAP" legislation. (I wrote about that legislation in "Tea Party Democrats," back in February.)

McCaskill was asked back in February if she wanted this bill to be included with a vote on the debt limit. She said no then, and she said no today. But her co-endorsers were more open to the idea. Lieberman said that his fellow moderate senators had met on Tuesday, and convinced him that "something like this has a chance."

"We were talking about the debt ceiling," said Lieberman, "and it was quite significant -- everyone in the room said they were not prepared to vote for a, quote, 'clean' debt ceiling extension. In other words, they wanted something to happen that would give them and their constituents some kind of confidence that while we were increasing the debt ceiling we were actually doing something to lower the debt."

Conservatives criticized this bill in February on the grounds that it was not strict enough. It would force Congress to abide by spending limits that could be waived by 2/3 votes in the House and Senate, but it has exceptions and takes a long time to trigger. But the addition of a self-identified Tea Party endorser (Johnson) and the GOP's whip (Kyl) signal where this is heading.

It is thought that a digital pound could support uniformity of money by offering a digital currency which maintains access to central bank money (reducing the incentive to use non-sterling alternatives), while supporting innovation and competition through an open platform from which the private sector can develop future digital services.

Responses to the Consultation Paper covered a range of issues. Overall, respondents from a cross-section of industries supported the proposed design given the objectives of the digital pound project. However, there were calls for an open debate and active engagement with stakeholders, and the feedback highlighted a range of themes, including these:

Concerns have been raised that the introduction of a digital pound may further accelerate the declining use of cash. In particular, there have been calls for the government to legally protect access to cash. The Response Paper makes clear that the digital pound is intended to complement and not replace cash, and reaffirms the commitment of the Bank of England and the government to maintaining access to, and meeting demand for, cash. It is noted that this commitment is already enshrined in existing legislation and industry-led initiatives.

Prioritising in-store, online and person-to-person payments has been broadly supported, though some respondents have raised further use cases, including payments between individuals and governmental organisations, such as taxes, reliefs, subsidies and pensions.

If a decision is taken to proceed with a digital pound and move to the build phase, a prototype would first be developed, based upon the final blueprint, in a simulated environment, after which live pilot tests would commence. It will be Parliament, however, that has the final say and the government has committed to introducing primary legislation before launching a digital pound. That process is expected to trigger further public consultation, so there are a few more hurdles to go before the digital pound becomes a reality.

Studies have shown that trigger warnings fail to lessen the emotional distress one may experience when reading a passage, watching a video, or engaging with sensitive content. Thus, evidence shows that these warnings could, in fact, be harming the people that they were meant to protect. Instead of increasing the amount of trigger warnings, there should be more attention and access to the various methods of mental health care.
