Eid day Celebrations

Salam everyone,

Hope you all are doing well and benefiting from the month of Ramzan.
Inshahallah, as you would know, the Eid would be on either Tuesday or
Wednesday of next week. With respect to this day, Pakistani society
would like to arrange an event to celebrate Eid for our Pakistani
families and students.

To decide on the details and the arrangements, we are having a meeting
on this Wednesday, the 24th August, after Iftari (8.30pm) in the
Lancaster University Masjid.

Please join us for this meeting for your suggestions to make our Eid
celebrations special and homely. If you are unable to come for the
meeting, we would highly appreciate your input via email or facebook.

Salam everyone,

As mentioned in the previous mail, PAKSOC would like to arrange an
event for the coming Eid for the Pakistani families and students. For
this, we had a meeting yesterday where we mutually agreed to have BBQ
that day near the pond area.

For the kids, we want to arrange for a bouncing castle but this can be
possible only if have confirmed participation of families. The details
of the event are as follows:

Date: 30th or 31st August (subject to moon sighting)

Location: Duck Pond Area near the new Sports Centre

Time: 11.30am till 2.30pm.

Activities: BBQ, Traditional delicacies, Bouncing Castle, Frisbee

Cost: £10 per family and £5 for other students


Also, we would like to request families and other students to bring
some traditional sweet dish. The quantity should be according to your
convenience as we would not want to burden anyone - it could be for
4-5 people.

If everyone brings something different, I am sure we would have
plenty. The idea is to share and taste our delicacies associated to
Eid to provide a homely and festive environment. For those who may
find this difficult to manage are most welcomed to bring soft drinks
or other such things along.

Please confirm your attendance here or at facebook event page (link
provided below) with the numbers of family members attending the
event, if applicable. It would be great if you could confirm soon as
it would help us organize the event efficiently.
