I only read above two books and attended weekend lessons by Adaptive US (AUS). Although I was provided with many PDFs books and supporting hours and hours of audio and video lectures by AUS, I limited my reading to above two books only, I would recommend the same.
Every BOK has some level of contradictions / inaccuracies / conflicting information, BABOK is no exception. In first read I picked up over a dozen such contradictions and it was evident that BABOK is written by people with different mind sets with different view point on things than yours, for example;
I read BABOK first and in details that is reading about 20 pages per hour, with about dedicated 3-4 hours daily, and finishing whole BABOK in under 7 days. During this study time, I did underline all key points, wrote several notes on my BABOK. I spend good 20+ hours reading CBAP Certifications Study Guide 3.0 as well. This is one of the best CBAP exam preparation book out there, you would not regret investing money on this book.
I did not use any other study material except BABOK and WML study guide, although I had many available from other sources. I strongly believe BABOK and book by WML is more than enough to prepare for CBAP exam. CBAP is one of those cases where less is better. Do not use 10s of PDFs with 1000s of pages to prepare for CBAP.
Same goes to picking up correct technique and tasks, only area which may be worth remembering is types, classifications etcs., of requirements etcs., I was lucky to have experience of using complex requirement traceability matrix in past and luckily those were in line with what was in BABOK.
In short, if you try to remember whole of BABOK, you will need months and months of preparation. I took the approach of understanding it and it worked well. Pick your approach wisely, you may need to remember some parts based on your past knowledge and experience, understand and know your past experience and decide what area you need to understand only and which aspect you need to understand as well as remember for the exam.
If I have the opportunity to go back in time I will be doing all except taking a training course which double the cost but does not give twice the benefits. Having said that, my experience was great with Adaptive US and I see a lot of value from different viewpoints not just CBAP examination. Make a wise investment, and see this as investment not an expense.
There are many free and paid CBAP exam Simulation available. Best by a mile is one provided by Watermark Learning. It is important to note I had access to more than one exam simulation, but what I like the most about watermark learning exam simulation is:
Although I am putting my CBAP exam preparation, I strongly recommend you make an assessment of your readiness and adjust your plan accordingly. Not all of us learn and understand at same pace, only you know when you nailed it and ready to take on CBAP exam. Having said that, here we go with my plan which enabled me pass my CBAP in c7/8 weeks.

It is crucial for candidates to remember that while the study guide is a comprehensive resource, its overarching purpose is to GUIDE your studies and to be a part of your overarching study plan. It should not be your SOLE study resource. While the guide can help users develop and manage their studies, it should not be the sole resource used for NAB examination preparation. Please review the NAB Candidate Handbook for additional study tools and resources. These can also be found within the study guide.
Below is a comprehensive list of recommended references that candidates can use to prepare for a NAB exam(s). As these resources are used in exam content development, it is strongly recommended to be familiar with content presented in each resource listed for the exam in which you are planning to take. The Certified Paralegal Examination is a comprehensive assessment based on federal law and procedure. Before planning your preparation for the Certified Paralegal Exam, be sure to review the detailed description of the sections of the Certified Paralegal Examination.
Every year NALA hosts a 3-day educational conference that features leading experts in the legal field and 30+ sessions, including CP Exam Review courses. This conference is a great way to earn CLE, elevate your education, and engage with other law professionals.
NALA Affiliated Associations are located throughout the United States. These state and local paralegal organizations are tremendous resources for paralegal activities in a specific region. NALA Affiliated Associations in multiple states offer exam review programs. Contact the association directly for confirmation and details of the review programs listed.
Another source of review programs for the Certified Paralegal Examination are classes offered through local community colleges. These are particularly helpful if you need to review a specific subject. The Certified Paralegal Exam is a nationwide exam; no state laws or procedures are tested.
PS I expect to miss 15% of the questions because I am not a native English speaker + I am not an technician (how many bits is xyz encryption) + I am not American (which bill passed ...). There is very important for me to have a high score on the remaining questions.
No single book, or cram course for that matter, can prepare you completely for the CISSP exam. Remember, the exam is designed to check breadth of knowledge and experience over many diverse knowledge domains. The exam is not intended to be passable by a newbie with no experience and only one book or course as preparation.
Every good CISSP study book is meant to give you the basics of what each domain is about, and help you find other resource to learn more deeply about each domain. Each chapter in a CISSP pep book has multiple references listed. study selected items from those reference lists.
If you read through these boards, you will find that there is no single source of material that will prepare you for an (ISC) exam. The recommendations that you will consistently get are to use many references, to take lots of practice tests and to earn (much of) the required experience prior to sitting for the exam. (ISC) exams are all about ability to apply your knowledge and experience in real-world situations. Although important, "book knowledge" is not enough to pass (ISC) exams.
Several of the 'I failed, now what?' threads here have responses pointing out the need to understand management judgement in information security based on knowledge of he basics. Study Ross Anderson's Security Engineering, 2nd ed. (available free online) for an understanding of that approach.
I have heard tales of candidates revising content for hours a day for months and still failing. It's never about the text book, more about the concepts and understanding around managing Cyber within a professional situation.
By all means study, read, and write about all things security, but make sure you get boots on the ground and get yourself immersed in the subject from a practical application stand point. It will serve you better.
Certification is not about the exam, it is about the professional experience. Passing the exam is not the 'long pole in the tent' to become certified. Having demonstrated deep experience in multiple infosec arenas, as defined by the CBK domains, is the critical, important, and hard part of the equation.
The exam is to ensure that anyone claiming certification knows enough about the breadth of infosec arenas to recognize which ones apply in a given situation, and also to realize when it is essential to have skills, or learn skills, or hire skills to complete all tasks in a project.
That claim means that the book covers 100% of the topics, but not of the detailed question content. A major aspect of every CISSP prep guide, including that one, is the set of pointers to other references and resources to fill out details in the topics. If it were otherwise, the book would be considered "teaching to the test" and totally improper for a professional certification, especially one that must maintain its own certification under ISO/IEC 17024, as the CISSP and other (ISC)2 certifications must do to meet US. Defense Department requirements.
