Are
you a senior postdoc or young researcher, wanting to improve your grant writing
skills? Then the Lund Postdoc Society (LPS), Women in Great Sciences (WINGS) and
Future Faculty (FF) welcomes you to our first joint seminar on grant writing.
On
the 19th of September, Dr. Dan Csontos from Elevate Scientific will hold a
1-day workshop about successful grant writing. Dr. Dan Csontos is a
science writer, editor and publishing consultant. Before founding Elevate Scientific
he was a science editor with Nature and Nature Physics, a freelance editor with
Nature Communications, and a science editor and project manager with Macmillan
Science Communications in London.
During the workshop you will get the chance to better understand the elements of a successful grant application, how to structure and contextualize your research to the reviewer, how to create a coherent, concise and compelling narrative that engages the reviewer and clearly explains the significance and feasibility of the proposed research.
The workshop is free of charge but participation is limited to 60. To be
eligible you have to be associated with LPS, WINGS or FF. Follow the registration
of interest link and apply today. Deadline for application is the 18th
of August 2014.
Detailed information and the possibility to register your interest can be found here
