WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:

Planning is bringing the future into the present so you can do something about it now.” (Alan Lakein)

Given the tight competition for jobs and funding among researchers, being strategic and proactive about your career is becoming increasingly important. But how do you create a practical career plan that suits your personal priorities and preferences?

This half-day workshop will introduce you to tools and techniques to better identify your own strengths and preferences. From there you will have the opportunity to explore specific career options and find out how to choose the options and next steps that will suit you best. You will create your own personal career plan and you will walk away from the workshop with a concrete list of actions so you can start putting your plan into practice straight way.

Note: for any postdocs taking part in Lund’s Postdoc Career Success Program, this workshop includes content from eclasses 3, 4 and 5. Participants of the program are more than welcome to attend and workshop their career plans with others.
