I have just published a new lesson that explains that a traditional
horoscope is basically a simplified map of the sky as seen at a
certain moment in time from a specific place.

Great article as usual. Thanks Alexander!

I would wish that you touch the topic of 'transits' sometime. If I understand correctly, whenever a planet passes through the same degree where it was present on the natal chart, is a significant time for that person. If it is opposite it must be unfavorable. This method of comparing the natal chart and the current sky makes it possible to speculate between favorable and unfavorable days for the querent. A prognosis if you like, much like a weather forecast.

What happens if the planet is retrograde on the horoscope, but passes through the same degree normally?

What is the significance of the planets below the horizon?

Also, I keep seeing on astrology programs how they weigh everything in the four elements. Does it mean, say, if water is predominant the general mood is bluesy and dreamy?

Thanks again for the brilliant article! I hope one day you touch the topic of horary astrology as well :)
