Hello everyone,

First of all, sorry for not taking care about this stupid spam for so
long. I have removed the spam messages now, banned their authors and
switched on moderation so hopefully the group is more or less
protected now.

My life has been extremely hectic in the last year. I moved house
twice, changed my job three times and have finally settled as a
freelance mobile developer in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. I hope very much
to stay here for a while.

With Lunarium, I was able to add a few things that were missing, like
explaining the idea behind the Gardening Calendar, completing
translations of the lunar days, writing another lesson.

I have also placed quite a few banners here and there that help me to
keep Lunarium up and running. Some people complain that these banners
advertise some not really high quality services. Well, what can I say,
I do not promote those advertisers, I do not recommend them - it's
just how the web works, by placing their banners I can make my website
free for everyone.

My reasoning is that web traffic is huge and all sorts of people are
coming to Lunarium daily. Those who are genuinely interested in my
content won't probably care about the banners, but for many people
things like lunar calendar or planetary hours are incomprehensible so
they are happy to follow the colourful banners and maybe find what
they really need.

I have looked at the Facebook application, My Moon Sign, which I
created two years ago, thinking that I could change something in it. I
was surprised to see that it still works, although it isn't madly
popular. I still have to admit that Facebook isn't really my thing, I
don't understand many aspects of it, and moves people to use it. So I
reviewed the latest technical documentation of the Facebook and
decided that I am not really going to create any other purely Facebook
applications, and I will leave the My Moon Sign application as it is.

However, I've got some ideas of mobile apps that could bring together
Facebook and astrology in a way that looks to me interesting, and I
started working on a project that will implement these ideas. I hope
to be able to complete it by Christmas but can't guarantee that.

As usual, you are welcome with your feedback and questions.

Keep in touch

Alexander
