Hi everyone,

I hope you’re all doing well. I’m reaching out on behalf of the Ohlone College Aerospace & Rocketry Club. We’re a growing student organization focused on hands-on engineering, rocketry fundamentals, and building opportunities for students interested in aerospace.

As a community college club, our budget is extremely limited, and we’re currently gathering materials to support upcoming projects, testing, and workshops. If you have any spare components or supplies that you’d be willing to donate, they would make a huge difference for our students.

We’re looking for items such as:
  • Airframe materials (tubes, couplers, nose cones, fins)
  • Electronics (altimeters, flight computers, sensors, wiring, batteries)
  • Recovery gear (parachutes, shock cord, Nomex blankets)
  • Motors or casings (expired or out-of-spec motors are also useful for demos)
  • Tools or fabrication supplies
  • Any miscellaneous hardware or surplus parts you think might help a young team learn
We’re grateful for anything—new, used, surplus, or oddball parts that might otherwise sit on a shelf. If you’d like to donate something or have questions about our projects, feel free to reply to this email or contact me directly. We can arrange pickup if needed, or we can arrange a drop-off at our Fremont campus.

Thank you so much for supporting the next generation of rocketeers. Your generosity truly helps create opportunities for students who may not otherwise have access to aerospace engineering experiences.

Aarav Garg,
President
Ohlone Aerospace & Rocketry Club

Serendipity !!! I have a boatload of such materials left over from when I ran Suborbital.  Tons and tons of model rocket parts.  Schedule a visit to the olde Rocket Lab here in Pinole CA and you can peruse and take what you will.  I've been looking for a good home for all this stuff ...

Hi Aarav,

I deal with donations to the club and kid giveaways, I have a garage full of stuff - small and midpower rocket kits to improve craftsmanship skills, parts for Level 1 certification type kits, some parts for larger rockets, electronics bays, bulkheads, hardware.  Depending on what you stack up, you might need to buy the larger longer airframe tube.  For building, there is Epoxy, fiberglass fabric, fin sets and fin stock.  For recovery, I have tons of donated harness, kevlar, nomex, parachutes.

This LUNAR rocket shop that has helped many ARC teams, Level 1 and Level 2 certifications, and rocketeers learning to use electronic deployment, trackers, and dual deploy.  I am located in San Mateo near 92 & 280

Sending my contact information to your email off list.
