Hi,

Anyone collect computers? I have a Sinclair 1000 to give away. This is
not something you would use for any real computing but it is fun to play
with. It basically consists of a CPU, some memory and some analog
circuits to do IO. There is no video card, the CPU generates the video
signal. It is programmable in basic. It has no disk but programs can be
saved on a cassette tape (if you have one).

Let me know if you are interested.

Bill

The vintage computer festival is in town this weekend at the computer history museeum.  I'm sure someone there would love to have it.

I remember those! Very popular "back in the day" (which was the last millennium at this point).

I had a Super Elf. Soldered it up myself. Also used a cassette tape for program storage.

Crazy how far we've come...

PS - No, I don't want it, but thanks for sharing!

CHM Computer History Museum in Mountain View  has my SYM-1 6502 single board computer on display and a set of CompuServe node cards for DEC Q-bus in archives. Also donated history of space radio communications from Susan’s Dad.  Good place to try although for such a consumer product they may have one.

I'll be going to the festival, so if you can't find anyone else to take it, I can take it and make sure it gets a good home.

I still have one of those in the attic. With my TI 99/4a and my Atari ST1000.

I’ve still got a couple of blank (shrink-wrapped!) cassette tapes, if the ultimate owner needs some.

Hey Bill

Yeah if nobody else wants it I will take it. I remember those from the 80s.

Wish I still had my Apple II, not plus. 16k RAM, cassette for storage, RCA black/white "monitor". I think I paid $1800 for just the computer back in  78/79?
