Hi Everyone - this is Gene the Aeropac launch director.  Arliss and XPRS is just around the corner starting Monday September 13 and runs through September 18.  This year we won't have the student launchers for ARLISS (or limited numbers may show up) so we invite all flyers out for the whole week!  We don't have any attendance restrictions at this time.
Setup starts Sunday September 12. Right now Becky Green has signed up for everything ;), so it would be good for folks to check out the launch duty page and sign up for stuff to help.  The page is here:

We especially need more people to sign up for range setup.  We can't launch unless we have folks who can step up and help! Also we need more people for LCO and RSO.  Please make a few hours available and help.

Vendors: We have a bunch of vendors planning to come out.  Right now we have:

Karl and Gary with Aero Tech
Mike Gentile with BAR
Scott Binder with BRS
Gloria and Robert with AMW
Greg Clark with BRB

I can't make it this year due to a family conflict. Peter Clar is performing the Launch Director duties.

As far as getting out there Jim Green has a call from the BLM asking us to use the 8 mile entrance this time and driving straight to the site here: 40 52.241'N 119 6.417'W.  He says

"The BLM called and said that the 12 mile entrance got pretty chewed up and the road got pulverized into a big pile of dust from the non-sanctioned Burning Man event. They recommend using the 8 mile entrance and just driving across the playa to the launchsite."

Here is the official getting there page: http://aeropac.org/index.php/launch-site/finding-black-rock
