Hi folks -

I've been so wrapped up in ARC flying that I forgot to post these stats last week.

There's a special reason I wanted to get these out. For all the 101 launches we've held at the ranch, we've never gotten a "Royal Flush" or "Full Boat" or pick-your-metaphor of motors used, meaning at least one flight using every motor from 1/8A to M. We've come close before, but never as close as this last launch while still juuuuuuust missing it!

When I started counting cards, I got Bill's Micro-Maxx flight (1/8A) early on, and realized the possibility since that's our least-flown motor. By mid-count I had a motor in every category from "A" to "L" when I came across a 1/2A flight. That only left a 1/4A and an M, and being Snow Ranch I knew the latter was more probably than the former. Towards the end, I had finished the High Power cards, and there was no "M" and only a handful of low power cards left. As you've probably guessed, the 1/4A flight showed up fourth card from the very end.

Sometimes the rocket gods are cruel.

Below the following grid is the summary of the 19 ARC teams that made 72 flights! That's nearly 18% of the total for the day, and the total was huge.

Man, I totally forgot that the mile high wall was a thing!!! I don’t recall my best effort 20 years ago being that great, perhaps I can do better now.

Yeah, we haven't had a MHW flight in years. I've kept it on there because I don't want to mess up the template since all of my summary pages point to the same cells (just on different year tabs).

I'd like to encourage anyone reading this to try it out. It's pretty simple, just fly a rocket to as close as possible to one mile (5,280 feet). No prize, just bragging rights. For non HP fliers we also have a 1/10 mile wall (528 feet) and 1/100 mile wall (53 feet, presuming your altimeter doesn't read to the tenth of a foot). I even considered doing a 1/1,000 mile wall (5.28 feet) for Bill and his Micro-Maxx flights. For that one we'd just stick a board behind the pad with a mark at 5' 3 3/8" and eyeball how close it gets.

You must declare this as a Mile High Wall (or other wall) attempt by writing it on your flight card before flying. No claiming it after a flight.

After your flight let me know how you did (email is good) and I will put it on the webiste.
