Hi Tony,
This dangerously borders on discussion about rockets. After two terms on the NAR board, there were a number of work and personal things that I felt were in the way of me doing a good job if I ran again and was elected again. I chose not to run rather than serve poorly.
I’m a few miles from the coast and what little fog I get hasn’t been a problem. It’s honestly questionable whether I should have even bothered with the plastic mounting boxes.
The eufy strands are a hundred feet long (60 lights) with a bit of lead before the first light. You can’t chain 2 together you’ll need to run them from separate power and controllers. I did see discussions from people trying to up the power and hack the controller but that seems like a lot of work.
You can program a light sequence and control it based on time or based on triggers from other eufy devices or other HomeKit compatible smart home stuff (which I’ve never done). Programs can be per “house” or per strand. Each light is individually addressable for color but brightness is per controller. Blinking or any pattern is also per controller (unless there’s a setting I’ve missed). The phone app is fine and allows control in basically real time if you want. I don’t think the web portal is any good (who uses a computer these days? Probably telegraph operators).
