Hello,

We have approval for a fire permit so we can fly at Brigantino Park in Hollister this Saturday the 8th, however, several LUNAR members who help run these launches are not available this weekend.

I would like for us to have a launch. It's been awhile, I know TARC teams want to test their projects, and you should have your D-motor Chip Can Challenge rockets ready for their first flights!

But we cannot commit to a launch without volunteers to help with setup, teardown, registration, and launch operations (checkin, pad auntie/uncle.)

If you can help with this, please reply by noon tomorrow, Thursday 6 Nov.

We also need someone coming from Mountain View or somewhere north on the Peninsula to pick up the launch equipment from our locker. If you would be willing to help with that please email offi...@lunar.org.

Thanks,

Emma Humphries

Hi Andrew,

The launches run from 9am to 2pm or if it gets too windy before that. Setup is at 8:30am.

We'll have two racks for low power, and six mid-power pads (with 1010 rail and rods.)

Bring a cart or dolly to wheel your gear from the parking lot to the top of the ridge in the park where we launch from.

Thanks,

Emma H

Hi Emma,

I’d be happy to help somewhere/somehow for an hour or two, but I have no launch experience with LUNAR; I’ve only flown with TCC before.

What is the timing of stuff, and where could you use a quick-learning newbie?

Thanks,

Andrew Lowd

I will aim to arrive in time to help setup the club’s gear.
