Hello rocketeer, before I give you the launch status, I must state two things. Number one, flying rockets is somewhat hazardous. Your car may get hit by a rocket. This is a problem for the insurance companies. Start with your own insurance. If there are problems after that, we can put you in touch with NAR Insurance. Second, you cannot retrieve rockets across the fence line south of the launch site toward Highway 4. You must contact LUNAR staff if your rocket goes over the fence.
Remember that the speed limit on the ranch is 7 mph. All automobiles must drive through the water puddles, not around them. When passing cars in the opposite direction, get back on the road as quickly as possible. Reminder: when on a farm, leave everything as you found it. If you find the gate open, leave it open. If you open a gate, close it. If you are the first car in a line and open the gate, allow the other cars to pass and then close the gate. Do not rely on the last car to close the gate. Should any cattle sneak out of the gate while you have it open, alert LUNAR Staff so we can get the cattle back where they belong.
The weather forecast and ground conditions are good for a launch. Yes, we are a go for launch on Saturday Jan 10th at 9:00 AM with setup about 8:30 AM.
As always we can use volunteers to work the range. If everyone who attends a launch volunteered for 1 hour, there would not be enough launch hours for all of us to volunteer once a year.
