Theprinter is connected to the network with a Static IP of 192.168.1.200 / the Cisco router is doing DHCP with range 100-160 so no overlap of IP. We can access the printer from a pc, so I think that is all good.
Priscilla, Thanks for the information. When I talked to the Installer Tech he said that he had updated the Firmware. I did not download the drivers, I will leave that up to the vendor. We have tested our equipment and everything on the network is working, I will contact the tech and tell him what we have done. If he does not want to go back and work on this Brand New printer, I suggest to the customer to have them pick it up
I have the driver downloaded, it comes as an executible. (.exe) When I run it an install information box flashes by but then nothing happens. I can try and install the printer manually, I have the IP, but there is no available .inf file for Windows to identify the driver from. What is going on here? I have NEVER had such a confusing install of a simple printer.
We have a restriction on our network that no one can install software on their own machine without the Domain Administrator login and password. When this driver unpack runs from the executible it does not ask for the Admin login to continue, it just fails. I logged into the users PC as Admin, then ran the executible and it unpacked and installed without a problem. The printer was available to the user when he logged back in.
I installed this driver on my PC and it worked as I expected. Dialogue came up, it found the printer on the network, installed the driver and finished. Now it is installed on my PC. I'm going to try logging in as Administrator and doing the install, maybe it just doesn't run correctly due to permissions. Thanks for the thought.
Landscape vs Portrait has never been an option in the driver as a papersize pulldown in LT2017-18-19-20 either here, we've had that plotter that long.
Landscape/Portrait selection has always been available in the drawing orientation section of PLOT command.
EDIT: I forgot to include this screenshot, I would recommend you use this in LT2021, and don't forget to report the issue to Autodesk (see my earlier response to you)
The problem is Not resolved. I have found a way to work around the problem by plotting portrait. But this is a problem when I need to plot something wider than 24". I have to change the paper roll. There has to be a way to plot landscape using 24" & 36" wide roll paper.

The ArcPress Printer Engine has its own set of printer drivers known as the ArcPress Printer drivers. These drivers were created by Esri in collaboration with printer manufacturers and are designed to support a specific list of printer models. The following document lists the ArcPress drivers and the printer models each driver supports. Printer models listed here are supported by Esri for use with the ArcPress Printer Engine in ArcGIS Desktop 10.5 and above.

Papers with the Archival designtation can take many forms. They can be glossy, matte, canvas, or an artistic product. These papers are acid free, lignin free and can be made of virgin tree fiber (alpha cellulose) or 25-100% cotton rag. They are likely to have optical or fluorescent brightening agents (OBAs) - chemicals that make the paper appear brighter white. Presence of OBAs does not indicate your image will fade faster. It does predict a slow change in the white point of your paper, especially if it is displayed without UV filter glass or acrylic.
Papers with the museum designation make curators happy. They are made from 100% cotton rag content and have no optical brightener content. (OBA) The base stock is acid and lignin free. The coating is acid free. This type of offers the most archival option in terms of media stability over time.
Photo Grade products are designed to look and feel like modern photo lab paper. Most photo grade media are resin coated, which means they have a paper core covered by a thin layer of polyethelene (plastic) . Plastic gives the paper its photo feel, stability (flatness), water resistance, handling resistance, and excellent feed consistency.
Prints on photo grade media are stable over long periods. With pigment inks in a protected environment, you can see up to 80 years on-display life. All RC papers are Photo Grade for two reasons. Plastic content is not technically archival by museum standards. Also, the inkjet coating of all RC papers is slightly acidic. It facilitates instant drying and does not actually change the stability of your inks over time. Virtually all RC papers have optical brightening agents (OBAs).
I'm fairly certain that the HP Designjet T3500ps HPGL2 driver is intended for printers with the optional accessory C0C66A Designjet PostScript/PDF Upgrade Kit installed. As I recall, it just adds functionality, so it will work just fine for a Designjet T3500 without that accessory as well.
We have (3) HPT3500 since February 2015. We set each one up with (2) sets of drivers. One for CAD/GIS files using the HPGL2 driver and the second with just the Adobe (PS) Post Script drivers for printing from "PDF's". The HP universal multi-language driver was discouraged by our vendor.
