LUMIPHOM 2011 cancelled due to the lack of support from UNISON.

[LUMIPHOM 2011]

LUMIPHOM (International Conference on New Trends in Luminescence and Phosphor Materials) was created as an initiative of Grupo de Ingeniería Molecular de Materiales (GIMM) (Molecular Engineering of Materials Group). Its first edition was held last October, 2010 at the Arts Center of Universidad de Sonora (UNISON), gathering the participation of important scientists from Germany, Brazil, United States, Republic of Korea, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia and Republic of South Africa. This year, due to the lack of funding institutional support from UNISON, the Organizing Committee of the II International Conference on New Trends in Luminescence and Phosphor Materials (LUMIPHOM 2011) has made public the cancellation of this international event. It is worth mentioning that the rights upon the name and concept of this Conference belong to GIMM. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this situation could cause to the interested participants which contributions have already been received. Thereby, we expect in the future for every conferred grant to be independent from personal affinities with the administrative staff of UNISON.
