Hey guys. I was wondering if there were any similar to Luminotes
programms? Something to make wiki toolbar more convenient?

I would rather suggest www.evernote.com It's the BEST online and offline notes provider that's available for all desktop, web and mobile platforms.

But www.evernote.com is paid and little bulky.
www.gpozle.com is free for everything and very light weight.

In my experience nothing matches luminotes ease of use and
convenience.

You might try Catch.com. It's OK. Catch uses tags instead of links
like Luminotes, but in the feedback forums there is a request to make
notes linkable. Please add your vote there if you would like Catch.com
to be more like Luminotes.

Hi,

EverNote is not fully paid. It has a paid version but it also has one of the best free version with unlimited storage and 60 MB per month uploading limit which I'm damn sure is lot for notes and few documents. Try it and you won't regret.

By the way, I'm not affiliated to Evernote, I just like their product a hell lot.

Evernote has a lot of features, but is not nearly as convenient as
Luminotes in my opinion. As far as I can tell on the web interface you
can't just click a note to edit it. You have to click the button
"Edit" and then find the spot you wanted to edit again, and make your
changes, then save and return to "view" mode.

The genius of Luminotes is that there is no "view mode" and "edit
mode". They are the same. If you are reading a note and you spot a
typo just click on the typo, correct it, and keep reading. This kind
of efficiency is awesome when you use your wiki for brainstorming as I
do, and I have yet to see another wiki match it.

Do you all think like me that this is what made Luminotes great, or
are there other reasons you liked it? I'm interested in hearing your
opinions on this, thanks.

Oliver

You could also try http://tiddlywiki.com/, and http://tiddlyspace.com/
for the webhosted version. I've found it to be a lot like Luminotes,
although it uses some wiki markup as opposed to being a WYSIWYG
interface.

As for the side topic of what made Luminotes a good interface for me,
I'm not so sure what it was, actually. I was rather new to the whole
idea of person wiki-type notebooks and things like that, but
definitely the view mode being the same as editing made it a lot
easier for me to get into that sort of thing. Luminotes had a great
streamlined interface, although there was quite a bit more that could
have been done. I was certainly sad to see it go.
