Dear Colleagues,
The International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) is recruiting a Research Assistant to join its Energy Program.
IIASA is an international research organization located in Laxenburg, 16 km south of Vienna, Austria. Some 200 mathematicians, social scientists, natural scientists, economists and engineers from over 35 countries conduct inter-disciplinary research on environmental, economic, technological, and social issues in the context of human dimensions of global change, in particular climate change. http://www.iiasa.ac.at/docs/what-is-iiasa.html
We seek candidates who are working toward an advanced degree (PhD) in energy economics, technology, environmental management and/or other relevant field. The successful applicant will assist with ongoing research activities within the Energy Program.

The appointed candidate will be offered a one-year, fixed-term contract with possibility for extension. The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. It is exempt from taxation in Austria but subject to the principle of income aggregation. The appointment includes moving and settlement allowances and a number of attractive additional benefits.
