Waterloo Global Science Initiative (WGSI) invites you to participate in our unique, cross-disciplinary conference and help build a blueprint toward a sustainable future. We’re looking for exceptional young leaders in policy, politics, civil society, and business to take part in a forum of future leaders at WGSI’s inaugural Equinox Summit: Energy 2030 from June 4 to 9, 2011 in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. We are seeking your support in identifying potential candidates and spreading the word about this unique opportunity.
WGSI is a non-profit partnership between Perimeter Institute, a world-leading centre for theoretical physics, and the University of Waterloo. Our mandate is to catalyze long term thinking and solutions for the world through cutting edge science and technology. Our first Equinox Summit is unique because it brings together pioneering scientific experts with next-generation leaders from around the globe, all of whom are supported by the mentorship of seasoned advisors from science, engineering, public policy and industry. Over five days, Summit participants will develop an actionable blueprint for 2030, short listing the most promising energy technologies and outlining the roadmap to implementation.
Applications for the Equinox Summit Forum will be accepted on a rolling basis until all spots are filled or April 15, 2011, whichever comes first. Please pass on the information below to anybody you think would be a good candidate, and encourage them to apply. We are offering travel scholarships for all successful applicants.
