Hello my dear Lumies,

as some of you know, this August I was in Tokyo, attending the Forum on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD Forum 2012) with 20-something students from Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific. It was a-m-a-z-i-n-g! Among the main speakers we had members of government, professors of the leading Japanese universities, entrepreneurs, investors, the UN university staff, and the leading thinkers and visionaries in the field of sustainability (like, for example, Günter Pauli, the author of the Blue Economy paradigm). Besides lectures, seminars and discussions we also had plenty of free time for cultural exploration of Japan, with some unforgettable sight-seeing tours and experiences.

Next year the ESD Forum is being organised again, and again it's taking place in Tokyo. So, who would like to join me there this time? Please note that the "early birds" (those who apply early) get discounts. Also, if we apply as a group, we can get additional discounts too.

So, check the information about the program, the speakers, and the different participation option, as well as prices here: http://www.iuventum.org/programs/ef2013.html (note that you have to divide the prices indicated yen by 10 to get a matching amount in kronor or by 100 to get an amount in euro – very easy!).

Let me know what you think and who would be interested in following with me to Japan next summer. I really hope to share this adventure with my LUMES family next time. Also, please spread the message – especially among sustainability students and young sustainability professionals – and the link to http://www.iuventum.org/programs/ef2013.html Thank you!

Hugs,

Oleg
