If you've forgotten the email or phone number you use to log in to Netflix, you'll have to update your information. To access your account, follow the instructions for the payment method you use to pay for Netflix.

Netflix will send a password reset email to the email address listed on your account. If you don't recognize or no longer have access to the email address we have for your account, contact Netflix customer service.

If you pay for Netflix through a third party, or have Netflix included with a package, search our Help Center for the name of the service provider to find the relevant billing article. Then refer to the "I'm having trouble signing in to Netflix" section.

Hi, i only yesterday got around to resetting my Mail password to discover several emails telling me about Netflix being added to my account and to "click here" to register. When i clicked, the link said there was a problem.

I called VM Support and they didn;t appear to understand my issue and stated "your registration will be fixed within 5 days". Don;t know how that'll work as VM has no idea what my Netflix account info is.

I've signed out of my Netflix account (everywhere) and reset my password so i'm happy that what's showing on the Netflix channel and App is not my account (it hasn't been hi-jacked). I would though like to view Netflix on my VM box so need the other account to be gone...

Click OK on your 360 remote on the screen that you just posted. On the next screen use the navigation buttons to move all the way across to the left. It opens another side panel. Don't worry about not being able to understand the language/symbols on this screen or the following ones.

I recently changed TV and lost the Paramount+ App (from the TV Apps) and found the App on the VM Box. I then saw the Netflix App and thought, well why not use it, especially as the basic access is free.

Think i have a Tivo Box, the settings above aren;t visible to me. I can select "Home > Settings" but there's nothing obvious to me to find Netflix (I've been thru most of the menu options within Settings).

Netflix spearheaded the streaming movement and changed at-home entertainment as we know it. For this reason, it remains one of the giants of the industry today. Scammers often impersonate well-known, trustworthy companies, making a household name like Netflix a prime target. With scam texts holding their spot atop the list of phone-scam threats, Netflix text scams were all but inevitable.

Phone scammers steal billions of dollars from Americans every year, leaving them with drained bank accounts and lingering psychological effects. However, there are ways to protect oneself and fight back. Keep reading to learn about Netflix text scams and how to avoid falling for fake messages.

Netflix text scams are a specific type of smishing attack (which is a type of phishing scam) whereby fraudsters try to get valuable personal information from their targets by disguising themselves as Netflix. They hunt for sensitive data like credit card numbers, email addresses, and login credentials they might use to hack into other accounts. Some scammers go directly for your money, while others sell your stolen data on the dark web.

One type of Netflix text scam claims your account has been put on hold, possibly due to declined payments or suspicious account activity. The text contains a link and instructs you to follow it to input your credentials, update your information, and regain access to the streaming service. Unfortunately, the link actually sends you to a fake website where scammers can steal your information. Alternatively, it may download malware onto your device.

Scammers like to center scams around problems with payment or billing information because it allows them to target your most sensitive data right away. Some Netflix text scams claim you must update your payment details because your card expired or was declined. As usual, they send a link that allegedly allows you to update your financial information and reactivate your account, but your financial details go right to the scammer.

Many different types of scams involve the same kinds of tactics, which means they feature some of the same red flags. Some warning signs are easy to spot, while others are a bit more subtle. The quicker you recognize the signs, the quicker you can shut down the scammer.

Although Netflix may not be able to reimburse you after a scam text, telling them about your experience may allow them to protect others from going through it themselves. You can forward Netflix scam text messages to phis...@netflix.com.

You can also report scam texts to the authorities to help them combat scammers and build their global databases. Getting your money back after being scammed can be difficult, but quickly alerting the authorities and giving them all of the information you can may improve your chances of catching the criminal.

Netflix text scams are just one iteration of the multi-billion-dollar text scam problem, but there are ways to protect yourself and take back your privacy. With the right spam-blocking app, you can fend off phone scams of any kind and block robocalls and scam texts before they can make it to your phone. That spam-blocking app is called Robokiller.

Regardless of your TV type, there are a few things that you can check first. If model-specific information is needed, refer to your product manuals. Check if the issue is resolved after completing each step.

When using Wi-Fi, the router's distance to your device is another factor to consider. To maximize your viewing experience when streaming video or listening from an audio app, make sure that the router is placed near your device. They shouldn't be more than 25 feet away from each other. If possible, install both devices in a location without walls in between them. Other wireless devices such as Bluetooth speakers, wireless phones, microwave ovens, and devices sending a radio frequency may also cause poor signal strength.

Streaming issues are often either a temporary condition with the streaming service or an issue with your network connection and internet. These options may help determine if your issue is related to your current ISP (internet service provider) and network conditions.

If you're comfortable making Wi-Fi changes to the network settings of your TV and you're familiar with using a hotspot and have a capable device, you can set up your hotspot and then change the Wi-Fi connection for your TV from your current network to the hotspot connection you created for testing. If your issue is resolved using a hotspot, then the issue is with your network, not your TV. Check your product manuals for model-specific information to change your Wi-Fi settings.

The list of applications may change after an update to your device. You may also need to update or refresh the list of applications if it's been a while since you used the internet features on your device.

When using a Matrix touchscreen console, you have the option to workout as a guest or to create a user profile. Using "Guest" does not save any previous workout data, app logins, or vital information, but allows you to get on the machine and go.

A user profile will allow you to enter vital statistics such as gender, height, and weight (used for calculations like calories burnt) and will save your app information for a single sign-on experience. On Matrix consoles, you can have up to 4 users and 1 guest user.

When you create a profile as an offline user, you do not need WiFi. Your workout results and data are only saved to the console. When you are logged in as a user instead of guest, you will see the "Recent Workouts" tile is populated with your most recent workouts. Past workouts cannot be saved as a guest. You can also sign in to your apps (like Netflix and Spotify) and your account information will be saved to the console for the next time you sign in.

The xID is used as a universal single sign-on code for any connected Matrix fitness equipment (at home or at the gym), apps, and websites. The xID online account also allows data to be shared with ViaFit, where you can link to select third party fitness tracking apps. An online user account requires a WiFi connection on the console.

Netflix is an American subscription video on-demand over-the-top streaming service. The service primarily distributes original and acquired films and television shows from various genres, and it is available internationally in multiple languages.[6]

Launched on January 16, 2007, nearly a decade after Netflix, Inc. began its pioneering DVD-by-mail movie rental service, Netflix is the most-subscribed video on demand streaming media services, with over 277.7 million paid memberships in more than 190 countries as of July 2024.[5][7] By 2022, "Netflix Original" productions accounted for half of its library in the United States and the namesake company had ventured into other categories, such as video game publishing of mobile games through its flagship service. As of October 2023, Netflix is the 23rd most-visited website in the world, with 23.66% of its traffic coming from the United States, followed by the United Kingdom at 5.84% and Brazil at 5.64%.[8][9]

Initially, Netflix offered a per-rental model for each DVD but introduced a monthly subscription concept in September 1999.[20] The per-rental model was dropped by early 2000, allowing the company to focus on the business model of flat-fee unlimited rentals without due dates, late fees, shipping and handling fees, or per-title rental fees.[21] In September 2000, during the dot-com bubble, while Netflix was suffering losses, Hastings and Randolph offered to sell the company to Blockbuster for $50 million. John Antioco, CEO of Blockbuster, thought the offer was a joke and declined, saying, "The dot-com hysteria is completely overblown."[22][23] While Netflix experienced fast growth in early 2001, the continued effects of the dot-com bubble collapse and the September 11 attacks caused the company to hold off plans for its initial public offering (IPO) and to lay off one-third of its 120 employees.[24]
