Sleekand simple, FLOTTILJ desk lamp has a unique look and smart design feature. Thanks to the swivel head you can direct the light to land where you want it, making this desk lamp a little extra helpful for a study space, office, or reading nook.

A properly lit room should have between five to seven light sources. And ideally, they should be a mix of different types of lights, positioned throughout the room at varied heights and. By combining floor lamps, table lamps and wall lamps, it'll be easier for you to create perfect lighting and help your room come to life.

You want to make sure your lighting is positioned at varying heights. If not, your lamps might create an unflattering circle that directs all light towards the middle of the room. This can make the room feel smaller.

Instead, you want to work with light at different levels. For example, you can have one or two table lamps in your window at mid-level, then a wall lamp placed in a higher position, together with a floor lamp that ends up somewhere in-between. That way, the light is more dynamic, making your room look bigger and more interesting.

While light is important, when it comes to choosing lamps for a room, shadows play an equally critical role. Your eyes need shadows and shades in order to perceive shapes and textures. Otherwise materials and objects risk looking a bit lifeless.

You need to use the app for the initial setup of the Loftie Lamp and to have access to setting alarms and custom color options. If you prefer not to use an app, you can still use the lamp with preset light modes. The app is available on both iPhone and Android devices.

On top of the wide selection of solid colors and gradients we've curated, you can create, name, and set your own custom modes.

The brightness is also adjustable with the arrow buttons on the back.

Programmable large buttons let you control the lamp easily, like cycling through your favorite colors or adjusting the brightness. We added weight at the base so the lamp stays sturdy even if you're reaching around in the dark.

Our custom-built base has a matte finish, acting as a gentle filter. No harsh, garish hues allowed. The core houses our machined LED panels, creating rings of light from the top to the bottom. This is why your dusks and dawns feel so seamless. Inside and out, every detail is decided based on sleep research.

Aluminum lamp shade and PVC cord. Made from old braizer traditions, the lamp shade is press spun by hand. Hereafter, the lamp shade is polished and painted by hand.

For select lamps in our collection, a light source may either be included within the box or come as an integrated feature, specifically with LED lamps. Why are bulbs not included with every lamp in our collection? The inclusion of a light source is determined by its integral role in the lamp's design or when a standard E27/E14 bulb cannot be utilized. Factors such as market-specific requirements and individual preferences regarding light intensity and color temperature also influence this decision. For our lamps that do not include a light source, we provide recommended bulb types in our Product Fact Sheets available HERE. Before purchasing a bulb, ensure you check its specifications, such as whether it is dimmable, to match your lamp's capabilities. Using the wrong type of bulb with a dimmable lamp can cause flickering or damage to both the bulb and the lamp's dimmer. Many lamp designs are dimmable. All lamps with an integrated LED source feature some form of dimming, including stepless, dim-to-warm, or 3-step options. For lamps with retrofitted light sources (bulb), dimming is possible with the right dimmable bulb. It's important to choose the correct bulb to avoid damaging the lamp or experiencing flickering. Our Muuto inline dimmer, designed to complement our lamps aesthetically, includes a memory function that retains your last dimming setting for the next use. Many of our lamps come with built-in LED light sources designed to last a long time, eliminating the need for frequent replacements. For example, a lamp with an LM80 rating maintains 80% of its original brightness even after 30,000 hours of use, ensuring longevity despite the light source being non-replaceable. However, we also offer lamps with replaceable light sources for added convenience. The Fine Suspension Lamp is one such design, crafted with the Right to Repair in mind, only allowing an electrician to replace the light source when needed. Additionally, our lamps with standard fittings like E27, E14, G9, or GX53 are compatible with light sources that you can easily replace yourself.

The cables for our pendant lamps are available in lengths of 4 or 5 meters. If you need a longer cable, you can purchase an additional cord of the desired length. However, it's important to replace the entire cable rather than adding to the existing one, which requires the expertise of an electrician. The scalloped grass cloth lampshade caught my eye on Instagram. I was thrilled when it arrived. I purchased 2 of the largest size for grey floor lamps. It so elegant and well made, transformed my room! I

I love my new grasscloth wooven shades. It makes the room feel custom and gives a great flair, looks so pretty also when light at night. My husband who never compliments my design decisions also loved the shades. And said order more! So i did, i texted them and they got back to instantly regarding different sizes. The team is great!

I wanted a BIG GLASS LAMP, and I found just what I was looking for at a local flea market. I found a big beautiful blue glass water jug! (Find similar glass water jugs here!), or a pre-made similar blue glass lamp HERE.

My lamp is obviously the size of a water jug. Have you ever noticed when you take pictures of things in your house that accessories and items often appear smaller than they really are? Or sometimes they appear larger, it all depends.

Because my lamp started out its life as a glass water jug, notice how the words are upside down since they are designed to be used with the spout down. That is part of the character of the lamp, right? Right.

You can google it or better yet, ask someone at the hardware store or an electrician. My husband happened to know how, so we did it ourselves. It was easy and no one died. High fives all around for that.

Once the socket and cord were connected, I just stuck the socket into the spout of the jug, with the cord sticking out and put a little hot glue around the metal to adhere it to the glass. Easy peasy. Maybe there is a better adhesive so you can research that, but the hot glue gun worked fine for me. So far, so good!

If you are looking at the lamp from the side, this is what you would see (photo above and below). If that would bug you, you might want to try cutting the glass and making the cord go inside and out the bottom. But either way, with glass, you see a cord or stem or something in the glass.
