【与Luke一起学词根突破词汇关】之175，anth-，花，chrysanthemum，菊花

昨天Monica同学问菊花chrysanthemum这个单词里面的词根，答复之后也发给大家
看看吧：chrys-是‘金色的’词根，而anther-是‘花’的词根，估计这个单词来自于以前
多数菊花都是黄的的吧。anth-这个词跟我们之前没有学过，我们顺便学一下吧：
chrysanthemum ,n.〈植〉菊花
anthesis ,n.开花期,开花
anther ,n.花药
anthology ,n.(诗、文等的)选集，原意指的是‘collections of flowers’：
anthologist ,n.选集的编者
anthophilous ,adj.虫媒的,爱花的，phil-是‘爱’的词根，比如philosophy字面是‘爱
智慧’的意思
helianthus ,n.向日葵,向日葵属的植物， heli-是‘太阳’的词根
polyanthus ,n.西洋樱草,多花,黄花九轮草，poly-是‘多’的意思，比如polyandry是
一妻多夫制，andr-是‘男子’的意思
