How to use regex search?

I am going to test regex search with Luke. But I didn't find any way to search with regex.

I tied using the following XML query parser but it didn't work.

<BooleanQuery fieldName="text">
         <Clause occurs="should">
             <RegexQuery>^\s*[a-zA-Z]{2}(\s*\d\s*){6}[a-zA-Z]?\s*$</RegexQuery>
         </Clause>
 </BooleanQuery>

Could anyone tell me how to use regex search on Luke?
