help needed ...cronjob no working ...!!

cron job is not working for me in ubuntu saucy....
i m using following cron job using crontab -e :

2 * * * * /bin/echo "test" >> /home/exploiter/Desktop/test_cron

according to this cron job must run after every 2 minutes ..but its not working
kindly help me to resolve this issue ..

2 * * * * means every 2nd minute of the hour. Change it to */2 * * * * if you want it to run every 2 minutes.
