A group of students including me, have taken an initiative of making a forum/platform called OSDLabs to promote Open Source Culture in the campus, which is slowly dying out. I have mentioned more about OSDLabs below.

Maliwal had met with us preT1, and he told us that you had expressed the
idea of having Linux Users Group resurrected. After knowing more about
the ideas of LUG we found it similar to the idea of OSDLabs. We also had
a small talk with ASCII before and they had happily agreed in
supporting this.

Primary Objectives:
Aim towards the increasing the number of GSoC selections every year.
Conduct Hackathons every month, which will be making of snippets/apps to be incorporated in these below mentioned projects.
Development of softwares in the campus, in collaboration with the faculty, or the Centre for Software Development (By Biju Sir). This can be pretty lucrative as students can see their contributions being observed on large scale (within the campus).
