To all,

Would it be possible for us to hold an online meeting, say for an half
an hour some night each week, in order to get the LUG going again?

Beforehand, I would suggest we exchange views on the direction that the
LUG should take in the near future.

Here my current thinking -- infinitely flexible pending feedback -- is
as follows:

LUG-at-JerseyShore, Phase II
a) Emphasize slow but steady growth for the LUG. Hope to establish a
membership of 10 active members during a two-year period.
b) Begin by establishing a website that potential members discover and
seek us out (rather than repeating the beat-the-bushes membership
approach of Phase I).
c) Temporarily meet online -- I would suggest a half hour or hour a
week -- to brainstorm ideas for the LUG
d) Wait until there is some momentum before attempting physical
meetings.
e) Figure out who is going to do what.
f) Keep RUSLUG, LUGIP, CHLUG informed of our activity.

If we have general agreement on the above, I suggest we meet online and
discuss item b) from above. To be effective, we could opt for a formal
topic guideline. For example:

ONLINE MEETING, THIS FRIDAY 8-9pm
TOPIC, LUG WEBSITE
GOAL, MAKE DECISIONS ON
a) initial content -- what should it communicate
b) domainname
c) what is our budget, who pays
d) divy up tasks
e) etc

The idea is that we lock onto a target before we meet online.
Otherwise.........hhhmmmmm!!!!

Is this the way to proceed?

Rob,

Seems like a logical approach to me, but then I am sure there are other ways to proceed as well.

If anyone has other proposals we should entertain them.

Glenn
