Hello to all!

Contacted Brookdale Radio Station, the Vintage Computer Festival is
presently being advertised on the wbjb.org website and will be
announced
Monday on the radio station - 90.5 FM. Don't know exact time.

Also advertising in Brookdale newsletter - "The Happenings". Dave Auer
from our club prepared a nice flyer and there is alot of "word of
mouth".

Would like to visit InfoAge this weekend. We still plan to do food
concession.

Would the LUG be interested in having a meeting here at Brookdale? I
believe the group can meet at one of our Campuses and students could
participate.

Conrad,

Do you need any help this Saturday with the hotdogs at VCF?

Glenn,

Thank you yes, help would be appreciated. I will cook hotdogs and bring
rolls and hot pan. We will not be using gas grill. We will only sell
hotdogs with ketchup, relish, mustard. We could use help with hot
sourkrout. Need pot roast cooker for this. We don't have one.

We will have soda and juice, bagels, rolls and donuts. We can bring
toaster oven to toast bagels and rolls and provide butter and cream
cheese.

We visited the site and are still unsure where to setup, but ther seems to
be alot of space and should be okay.

VCF also has its' own concession where they sell drinks and snacks. This
is not a problem since it will actually lighten our load. We will not
provide other snacks such as chips or cookies. We assume InfoAge
concession has them.

If we need more snacks we could use help with chips and cookies.

I will call you tomorrow.

Conrad,

By pot roast cooker, do you mean an electric slow cooker? I have one of those.

Also, has it been easy working with the other groups involved?

Hi Glenn,

Yes, my pot roast cooker is actually called a slow cooker. Sorry, I always
think of pot roast when it comes to that thing. If you have one we could
set it up and put the sour krout in directly from can and heat up.

We haven't done much for the InfoAge groups involved other than to
distribute flyers, get a nice radio ad on the air (90.5 The Night), have a
few phone conversations and take one visit to site. We have arranged for
three or four members of our club to help with the effort on Sat. We
haven't fully finalized our involvement, but plan to call Evan today. I
will let you know about the arrangements.

I know they are very busy trying to renovate the building(s). It is an
enormous undertaking. I was very impressed and believe what they are doing
has great purpose.

I am also very interested and impressed with the LUG. You seem to also
work with great purpose. I hope to finally meet you soon. I have had alot
of personal business going on and do apologize for such slow response to
your group, however, I do talk with Paul Herr quite a bit and he has kept
me informed. I also do plan to participate and help your group anyway I
can.

Conrad,

What time do you think you will be setting up at VCF? I can meet you there with the slow cooker.

Glenn,

I will be there around 9:00. The slow cooker will be great. I bought
sourkrout last night, so I am planning on using it.

Do you also have any large coolers? If you can bring them with ice that
would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know when you will be there
and whether coolers are a problem.

Conrad,

Coolers i don't have... which is kind of strange when I think about it. I can be there with a slow cooker around 9:00, however.

Conrad,

It was nice meeting you, and Don and Kevin and, of course, Paul, at the VCF. You certainly worked hard to feed the masses at VCF.

Hats off to you!

Glenn
