Greetings from Dr. Julian H. Zhitnitsky!
Raisin Eyebrows: Is Dried Fruit Good for Your Teeth?
Do you remember how disappointed you were as a kid when some concerned adult dared put raisins in your Halloween bucket? Your mother was probably relieved, convinced they would be far better for you and your pearly whites than the rest of the junk food youd strung out across the living room floor. Ask a pediatric dentist, however, and you might get a different story.
Its true that there are a number of benefits to eating raisins. Theyre low in fat and cholesterol, and boast plenty of fiber, calcium and potassium. Unfortunately, theyre also both sticky and high in sugar, putting them high on the list of foods that can cause cavities. Some health professionals lump them in with all the other typical junk foods kids eat. Dont worry, raisins arent the only foods once thought healthy that can contribute to tooth decay. Go ahead and add other dried fruit, sweetened cereals and even fruit juices to the list.
Dont chuck raisins out just yet, however. Raisins were recently found to contain phytochemicals, which are known to inhibit the growth of bacteria commonly linked to cavities. Note that this study was conducted in a lab, and no study has even been done to show that cavities are either more or less likely to find kids that eat raisins.
So, where does this leave you? A good general rule when it comes to eating for good health (oral and otherwise) is to stick with whole fruits and vegetables whenever possible. If you must eat something that you arent sure is good for you, do it in moderation. Be sure to drink lots of water, and always either brush your teeth or rinse your mouth out with warm water after eating sugary or acidic foods to prevent tooth decay!
If you have any questions about preserving your smile, please don't hesitate to call us at (818)785-8388 or email us at d...@dentistsherwood.com today.
Best Regards,
Dr. Julian H. Zhitnitsky

Good day all!
I'm looking for information what is the most pps/Mbits-powerful
FreeBSD-based routers used in real world in ISP networks.
For example, we have regular traffic up to 60kpps and 200MBits, with
confirmed tests at 300kpps and 600Mbits and router with ng_netflow,
dummynet and ipfw + pf (Bi-)NAT.
There are some examples at russian forum http://forum.nag.ru about
1.3Mpps (yep, MILLION and dot 3 packets per second).
How much have you got?
That is a hardware?
Did you try to tune sysctl?

I've been really happy at RootBSD (http://rootbsd.com/). They don't do
webhosting per se; but they give you a VM with your favorite flavor of
BSD installed. Not too expensive. I don't think I've waited more than 30
minutes from the time I put in a ticket until they've dealt with it.
They're even making custom bgp announcements for me.

We have four domains that we currently provide web hosting for and I need to find a cheap reliable hosting company to move these to. I have, of course, google web hosting but there's thousands of them out there. I thought folks on this list might have some suggestions.

I'd second the rootbsd recommendation if you are up for running it
yourself on a VPS. I do webhosting for my clients on my own servers
and use the rootbsd box as a hot failover. nothing but good things to
say about them.
but like you said there's thousands of managed web hosting companies
out there. googling for web hosting reviews might help narrow the
selection.
good luck,
-Dan
