Subject: port www/firefox on ia64 -- Bus error (core dumped)
To: ge...@FreeBSD.org, freebs...@FreeBSD.org
Message-ID: <20100226145...@mech-cluster241.men.bris.ac.uk>
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

On 9.0-CURRENT #0 r203484M ia64
I've built firefox-3.6,1 with these options:

===> The following configuration options are available for firefox-3.6,1:
DBUS=on "Enable D-BUS support"
NEWTAB=on "Open external links in a new tab"
SMB=off "Enable smb:// URI support using gnomevfs"
DEBUG=on "Build a debugging image"
LOGGING=on "Enable additional log messages"
OPTIMIZED_CFLAGS=off "Enable some additional optimizations"
===> Use 'make config' to modify these settings

It gives "Bus error" and dumps core on many sites, e.g. jobs.ac.uk,
streetmap.co.uk or jpost.com. For example, here's the log
from pointing firefox to jobs.ac.uk:

http://seis.bris.ac.uk/~mexas/firefox3-crash-log

And here's the gdb report:

http://seis.bris.ac.uk/~mexas/firefox3-gdb

Please advise

many thanks
anton
