Hello,
Is anyone using this graphics card on FreeBSD-8 amd64?

If so, can you advise me which nvidia driver it is that I need to use,
please?

Thanks.

Regards,

S Roberts

Despite Nvidia's promise to update the driver for amd64 when 8.0 was
released, this has yet to happen.

You should abuse them politely in their forums.

Huh? The beta amd64 driver has been available for months (and I've been using
it on my primary desktop in 7.x for months).

Hi John,

Glad to see that post from you..,

Do you mind commenting whether or not the instructions there are good
to go, or whether or not there were any "gotchas" or the like, please?

Thanks.

No, it just works fine. I think the x11/nvidia-driver port might even be
updated to use this driver on amd64 already.

I just checked
(http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/cvsweb.cgi/ports/x11/nvidia-driver/) and it
does indeed appear to already be included.

Excellent!

Thanks again, John.
