Cellular - Wireless - 3G Modem Installation

Hello!

I am installing a 3g modem.

Once logged as root and I give the command
# tail /var/log/messages
I got the following set of output messages:

From the last 3 messages I get to know data on the modem.
How may I get to know if the modem is installed?
