Hey Jas, I'm sorry to hear about your experience, unfortunately its
something that I am afraid every poker player must go through in their
career, sometimes more than once. It's the champion that keeps playing
well after a crushing blow to their bankroll/self-esteem/etc, while
the loser hangs up his gloves and quits playing the game (seriously at
least). That thought alone was a lot of solace for me in similar
situations.
Bankroll management... ughh, I could go on forever about this, but
most of what I would say has been said already a million times. I
don't play cash unless I'm really steaming, and as far as the tournies
go I don't think I'd buy into a 500+ directly anytime soon, and it'll
take me a good week to lose it playing the smaller buy ins. That
actually might be a good rule of thumb: don't play at stakes that can
bust your roll in 1 nite. (I'm assuming you lost it all on Monday).
While you're healing play the game you play best, i looked at your
stats, and your SnG's are really good but you haven't been playing
them in August (<50) for the 45 man ones, and you made 5k+ off them in
July. My word of advice, stick to your guns. I don't know how much you
made from cash games, but you've got 18k+ in wins from tournies, so
perhaps that's where you should focus, particularly in Omaha tournies
if you want to start playing Omaha in big ring games. It's good
practice and it'll cost you a lot less to learn a lot more.
If you have any questions post them up,
btw I am a guy, or so my girlfriend says
Peace, Good Luck, Double Up, TID
