Hi everyone,

So Lucky Book Club has both celebrated summer book club by taking
advantage of the good weather and eating/drinking/discussing in hosts'
backyards and roofdecks, but we've also opted to take past summers off
from monthly gatherings and get together again come fall. Last night's
group was small, so we thought it made sense for the group to decide:

Option A:
A late July book club on Kristin's roofdeck in Brighton (we thought
"Little Bee" by Chris Cleave might be a good choice) - maybe Tues the
20th or Thurs the 22nd? Would require motivation/effort from
Somerville/Cambridge crew, but would definitely be a fun summer night
out...

Option B:
If there's less interest in summer book club, we could reconvene in
early September after Labor Day - with "Little Bee," if folks are
interested in that choice.

Any interest one way or another? Let me know your preference and I'll
email the plan back out to the group.

I like the idea of not loosing momentum through the summer. And, I have to put a plug in for little Bee- not beach reading but awesome.

I would also be up for keeping things going through the summer, just cause I think I am finally ready to emerge from the new mom cocoon and be able to read and think again.

I am up for keeping the momentum going, as well. even though I haven't
been able to make it to the past 2 meetings, I have been reading the
books! I would love to host in July on the roof.

Also, I've been listening to my books from the BPL. You can download
iPod compatible books from their website with your library card
number! I am sure Cambridge and Somerville have a similar arrangement.
Sara, if you're not able to fit in the reading time, maybe you and
Rosie can listen together :)

Cheers,
Kristin

I'm down with sticking with it as well for the summer. And a roof deck book club sounds great to me!

Sounds great. Kristin - you're on for late July! Let us know
where/what time and it sounds like "Little Bee" would be good for the
next book.
