Hi Friends,

Me again! Si vous plait, let me know if you are coming to the mini fete next Thursday 9/20 at 7pm. I forgot to invite many of you who I intended to invite the first time around (dope!), especially my old bookclub friends... So my apologies and embarrassment accompany this note..

I'd like to discuss the book but you are welcomed to eat with us if you didn't read the book, or only read part of it.  Most of you have opinions, I'm sure!  If you've read "Bringing up Bebe" that's relevant and if you've seen or read "Julie & Julia" you'll also be able to offer something french.

RSVP so I make enough food.

Que:  Discussion and Socializing
Quand: Thursday, September 20th
Quelle heure:  7pm
Oú:  The Flat - 59 Summer St #2, Somerville, MA
Apporter: Tu, le vin, salade welcomed but not necessary
Transport: Bike, Walk, Skip, Hop or Drive-street parking and a bus ride from Central, Porter, Lechemere or Sullivan. Resident and 2 hour parking.

The first year book at Smith College this year is Dreaming in French which chronicles Jackie O, Susan Sontag and Angela Davis during their French Years.
Read the book if you're inclined. I'm going to read it and would love to talk about it.  I'll also make (and by 'I' we all know 'Hans' is implied) a French entree and a tasty French dessert.  Invite your friends, bring your partners and let's discuss.

While the inspiration is a Smith tradition, anyone who likes to read is welcomed- I do blame Smith that the list is heavy with X chromosomes but I do welcome any and all FeMENist out there.  So please invite others, too!

I'll remind you closer to the date and you can RSVP then, but start reading while an inkling of summer leisure remains!

And, the NYT has a less flattering opinion, too.
