Job Summary:
The IT Senior Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for building, maintaining, securing and monitoring scalable and cost effective cloud and on-premises Infrastructure according to best practices. This role will back up the Director of IT Engineering, will work closely with the IT Operations Team to document new builds and upgrades, assist with break/fix issues and document solutions, perform after hour activities as necessary, and support other IT departments as required.
Job Duties:
• Maintain internal Active Directory, AWS, Azure, Backups/Restores, Disaster Recovery Processes and Procedures, MFA, ADFS/Azure SSO, infrastructure (hypervisors, servers, file servers, and storage).o Office 365: Teams and SharePoint creation and governance as well as migrations, OneDrive, User Mgmt., Azure AD Connect.o Azure: Polices, Management Groups, Monitoring, Runbooks, ARM templates, scripting, cost monitoring, App Registrations, Enterprise Apps, etc.o AWS: Control Tower, Account creation/integration, scripting, cost monitoring, etc.o On-Prem infrastructure: Active Directory, ADFS, Storage (Pure, Nasuni, Synology), VMware, Hyper-V, HP and Dell servers• Maintain EPIC’s internal Certificate Authority as it pertains to Intune PKCS deployment.• Provide support to IT Operations.• Design solutions for non-standard M&A activities.• Collaborates with other IT functional areas to maintain and contribute to operational success.• Assist Service Desk with overflow support.• Develop strategies to keep EPIC’s solutions “best in class” while maintaining costs.• Maintain and update Engineering documentation.• Maintain and update automation scripts.• Provides strategic consulting, support, and guidance regarding key IT initiatives.• Works closely with IT colleagues to measure and improve services.
Experience and Education:
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT.• Certificates are a plus.• Minimum 10 years IT experience in IT Systems Administration with a strong concentration in cloud solutions.• Project management is a plus.• Insurance Industry experience is strongly preferred.
