Client is seeking out a Cloud Solutions Architect 2 to further develop the data lake within a cloud architecture. Client is looking for a candidate who has mid-level experience as a developer, devOps or QA Engineer as well as coding and release experience using bash, Python, SQL, etc. Higher education in computer system engineering related fields is also required.
Job Description:
We are in need of a Cloud Solutions Architect to join our Client’s Advanced Grid Technology team. This position would be part of a very skilled team that works closely with Project Managers, Analysts, Data Scientists and other technical leads to understand, design and execute upon infrastructural needs to support ETL, analysis, reporting and forecasting concepts within our cloud infrastructure. We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, and personable subject matter expert with an eye for detail and a desire for challenge to fill a very specific role as part of a growing and high performing electric utility grid analytics team.
The day-to-day responsibilities of this role would be to support our existing AGT team in the business-critical area of further developing our data lake within a cloud architecture. This includes designing, building, and continuously improving upon a reliable and efficient data architecture to support grid and other relevant utility data. The successful candidate will have experience architecting data infrastructure in a cloud environment (preferably Microsoft Azure), expertise scripting in at least one, but preferably several coding languages (proficiency in Python at minimum) in addition to an Expert level efficiency in SQL and creating ETL pipelines at minimum.
