Make Fails in Tools

Hi Everyone

I am trying to compile Lucida but Java 7 installer fails.

Package 'oracle-java7-installer' has no installation candidate

Java 7 in no longer supported so is using the latest Java ok?

How to adjust the script to accommodate the latest Java if applicable?

I edited the java script to use 8 and that worked

So now Caffe fails to Build. error while loading shared libraries: libprotoc.so.8: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I'm studying it to understand how I can fix this but any help would be appreciated.

I have Fixed this error by issueing Sudo ldconfig. But now have a /usr/local/cuda/bin/nvcc: not found error.

back to studying.

CUDA is for Intel GPUs and I have an ATI GPU. Therefore I found a version of OpenCL Caffe and I edited the install_caffe.sh script to use this and it worked successfully.

Now onto the rest after i mow the lawn.

When compiling Kaldi the link for the OpenFst that the script is using is DEAD. I have found a better link that works.
