[LVCENTINVS] Lecturas de la propiedad intelectual

Para los sedientos (y con tiempo) de literatura de propiedad intelectual, LVCENTINVS les propone, en primer lugar, algo que no es de PI pero que es igualmente interesante (y ya se sabe que sólo de PI no se vive). Se trata de la obra Derecho económico internacional de Mathias Heldeger, traducida al castellano por mis compañeras internacionalprivatistas Katia Fach y Laura Carballo. Es una gran noticia  (proporcionada por F. Garau) que esta nueva edición de la traducción esté en libre disposición en Internet.

Otras lecturas más aburridas son el informe Promoting Access to Medical Technologies and Innovation editado conjuntamente por OMC/OMPI/OMS y que, según la información en el sitio web de OMC: "examines the interplay between public health, trade and intellectual property, and how these policy domains affect medical innovation and access to medical technologies". Asimismo, de la imprescindible WIPO SME Newsletter nos llega el Informe "Open Innovation in SMEs: How can small companies and start-ups benefit from open innovation strategies?"

"Difficult market conditions force SMEs to adapt or reinvent their businesses through new technologies or unique value propositions, but they often lack resources and technical capabilities and must thus collaborate with others to compete. Those that succeed in this transition often employ open innovation. This report by Dr Wim Vanhaverbeke, in collaboration with Ine Vermeersch and Stijn De Zutter found that open innovation can create new opportunities for all types of SME – from start-ups in high-tech markets to players in traditional markets – because they can change business models without having the required technologies in-house".

En fin, esto no es una lectura sino varias: IP Panorama. Seguro que más de una vez os han solicitados materiales sobre aspectos básicos de propiedad intelectual y debido a que "ya estais en otra división" no sabeis donde encontrarlos. Pues IP Panorama es el lugar.  Excelente trabajo de la OMPI.
