What's the most efficient way to import Adobe ColdFusion 9 Settings like Server settings, Scheduled Tasks, DSN's, Mappings, etc. into Lucee 5? I was hoping for compatibility with a .car file (ColdFusion Archive), but haven't found anything of that nature in the docs or Google for that matter. Does Lucee do that? If not, hasn't anyone ever suggested such a thing? That seems like 101 for switching CFML apps from Adobe ColdFusion to Lucee.

It appears the new, modern way to configure the Administrator, at least in Lucee 5, is with the Administrator.cfc.

Jim, sounds like a nice feature to have re: getting people to switch, so maybe raise a ticket on JIRA for it:

Kind regards,

Andrew

CAR files have a weird format, but it can be done. Those settings are also stored in the various neo-*.XML files in cfusion/lib. ACF when installing new versions will actually detect older versions installed and will try to migrate settings automatically. Perhaps the same could be done for Lucee.

In any case, that's a really great idea.
