In order to improve lubyk stability and to make the port to Linux more fun, I will be testing the port on the new 35$ Raspberry Pi:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raspberry_Pi
I am really excited about this new piece of hardware because it means that kids, geeks and artists will have an incredible board to start experimenting with lubyk and learn programming "in the wild".
If things work out smoothly, the goal is to have the lubyk foundation (a structure being created to deal with long term support for the software) sell pre-installed plug&play versions running lubyk. These devices will announce themselves on the network and become live-codable in Lua.
If you want to play along, please pre-order a
Raspberry Pi... Since we master the full OS and know the hardware, it should be easy to release binary disk images of the OS that end users can simply copy on an SD-card (the Raspberry's hard disk).
Cheers !
