In short: I'm new to Google App Script and as part of a larger project I want to be able to populate the options for a multiple choice item in a Google Form from information stored in a Google Sheet. The sheet is storing the name and contact information for several staff members where I work. I want the form to list the names of the individuals from the sheet and, based on that selection, access the other contact information to do additional work later on.

With that said, I have 3 players who WILL NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES use an electronic device during the game session. So, what that means is that character sheets for any game either need COMPLETE, or the game needs to have simple to look up rules in a single book. Well, we all know that the later is NOT Pathfinder2e.

Having now said that, we will most-assuredly start with providing that option using a form-fillable version of the official character sheet PDF that Paizo has created for the game, that will automatically fill all the relevant areas but also allow for additional notes and editing of the sheet to make it more convenient to have the more baseline printed character sheet that will be familiar to most players.

So I have a question that has 8 options for a user to select from and these 8 options expand to 4 each sub-options for them. Now while building this on the form, I am stuck how can I expand these. What I was doing adding logic for each question but it can only go as far as for 4 options. What is the most efficient way to solve this. For example; if the question is: Select the day you will come to office? (My options are: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Prefer Remote) Then each of the options has (Morning, noon, evening, night) how can i create this question on the form? I want the sub-options to appear only when a certain value is selected.

@Paul Newcome That's what i did i put all the groups for the question under on column and then separated out each option as its own column with sub-options in it but i cant use logic beyond 4 instances.

I did the solution you mentioned above and it showed me all the options in the bottom for video conferencing my idea is when I select video conferencing in first portion I should only get to see the options video conferencing at the bottom.

Is there any other way I can arrange these questions on the form. i was also thinking how about if I just list 4 sub options under each option and make each main option as an independent one. For example, video conferencing, select "a,b,c,d"

During this period, many people tend to look back and reflect on life, legacies created, and loved ones who will be left behind. Some questions to explore with a patient at the end of life are the following:

Caregivers need to be prepared to answer tough questions. To do this, they should know what their own feelings and thoughts are about the situation. They need to be able to show children how to hope for the best while preparing for and accepting that their loved one may die.

It all depends on how the government database is updated. If they just add new records you can store somewhere the ID (if sequential) or the created timestamp of the last record added to your Google sheet. Then for each new run, you look that value up and only add records that have been added after your last run.

Hi @Test_Test
Ideally for this you will need to use the bulk import API for google sheet. Make has JSON app that can easily create the JSON payload of all the rows you get from CSV, you dont have to use HTTP, rather Google sheet app has API action where you can just use the JSON.

The first sheet uses formulas to sort the data from the second sheet. So I want to be able to get/set the values on the second sheet while syncing the values on the first sheet with a Data Viewer List (DVL) in Thunkable. That way, I can update the second sheet and still display sorted values in Thunkable.

Welcome to the community, @bricevkarickhoff! Your survey project should have a question (either a select_one by0xe03 or select_multiple by0xe03) in your survey sheet, but at the same time, by0xe03 is missing under the choices sheet. You could check this out by downloading your survey form as an xlsform and then doing a search by pressing CTRL+F under the survey tab as well as the choices tab. As a backup, you could also check your xlsform here. It should be able to help you point out syntax errors if there are any.

Click Add Question to add more questions to your survey. To change the order of the questions, click the Up or Down arrows on the right side of each question. For text questions, select the Long Answer option if you want a larger text box displayed on the survey.

Click Preview at the top of the design window to see how your survey will look on a computer. If you want to test your survey, enter answers for the questions in preview mode and then click Submit.

You can add a survey to an existing workbook. With your workbook open in Excel for the web, go to Home and in the Tables group, click Survey > New Survey. A survey worksheet will be added to your workbook

I want to be able to select a google sheet and google worksheet based on the dynamic variables from previous steps in my scenario. Currently the options there are pretty limited when it comes to selecting the sheet.

In here you can pass the SpreadSheet ID and then the required sheet name. You can grab the SpreadSheet ID Directly from the Google Sheet URL or from the Select by Path in the same option that will display the SpreadSheet ID in Make.

Fair enough, I indeed found a way to find a google sheet in a step before using Google Drive step, insert the dynamic sheet name there, get the sheet ID from that step and then insert it manually in Google Sheets step.

The app will read the data from this Google Sheet and auto-populate the choices in the form with one click. You can even create a time-trigger that runs every hour, day or month to dynamically update your form using the most current data available in the spreadsheet.

The important thing to note here is that your column headings in the spreadsheet should exactly match the form field labels of the Google Form. The Google Script can bulk add answers in multiple-choice questions with a single answer, drop-down lists and checkbox with multiple options.

You need to replace the GOOGLE_SHEET_NAME and the GOOGLE_FORM_ID with your own values. Go to the Run menu inside the Script editor, choose populateGoogleForms function and it should instantly choices for all the specified questions in the Google Form.

Go to the Insert menu in Google Sheets, choose drawing and pick any shape. You can also add overlay text to the shape. Once the shape is placed on the spreadsheet canvas, click the menu, choose assign script and type populateGoogleForms.

If your company is converting its traditional pension plan benefit formula to a new cash balance pension plan benefit formula, you may have some questions about how this change will affect you. The following are responses to some of the most often asked questions. These responses are designed to provide general information and are not legal interpretations of ERISA or the Internal Revenue Code. If you still have questions, call one of our offices or email your question to EBSA.

Often, pension plans and health plans are operated independently and are administered separately. However, sometimes eligibility for retiree health benefits depends upon eligibility for pension benefits. If you have questions about your health benefits you should contact your health plan administrator. Be aware that, like pension plans, health plans generally can be amended or terminated.

This fact sheet has been developed by the U.S. Department of Labor, Employee Benefits Security Administration, Washington, DC 20210. It will be made available in alternate format upon request: Voice telephone: (202) 693-8664; TTY: (202) 501-3911. In addition, the information in this fact sheet constitutes a small entity compliance guide for purposes of the Small Business Regulatory Enforcement Fairness Act of 1996.

If I print each sheet separately, it is fine. Of course the words on the printed first sheet look bigger than the words on the printed second sheet. I believe the second sheet is scaled down to about 47% in order to fit into the width of a landscape A4. The first one retains the 100% scale.

Another option is I choose to print both sheets at a scale of 47%. But of course, that means the first sheet does not maximize the width of the printed page and the words will look unnecessarily small on the first printed sheet.

If any answer is to be worth more than one point, you must include a WEIGHT sheet. This is often used when you want correct multiple-choice questions to have more weight than true-false questions.

The following is a compilation of answers to questions asked of FDA regarding the protection of human subjects of research. For ease of reference, the numbers assigned to the questions are consecutive throughout this section. These questions and answers are organized as follows.

No. Although institutions engaged in research involving human subjects will usually have their own IRBs to oversee research conducted within the institution or by the staff of the institution, FDA regulations permit an institution without an IRB to arrange for an "outside" IRB to be responsible for initial and continuing review of studies conducted at the non-IRB institution. Such arrangements should be documented in writing. Individuals conducting research in a non-institutional setting often use established IRBs (independent or institutional) rather than form their own IRBs. Also see the information sheets entitled "Non-local IRB Review" and "Cooperative Research."

No. Alternates who are formally appointed and listed in the membership roster may substitute, but ad hoc substitutes are not permissible as members of an IRB. However, a member who is unable to be present at the convened meeting may participate by video-conference or conference telephone call, when the member has received a copy of the documents that are to be reviewed at the meeting. Such members may vote and be counted as part of the quorum. If allowed by IRB procedures, ad hoc substitutes may attend as consultants and gather information for the absent member, but they may not be counted toward the quorum or participate in either deliberation or voting with the board. The IRB may, of course, ask questions of this representative just as they could of any non-member consultant. Opinions of the absent members that are transmitted by mail, telephone, telefax or e-mail may be considered by the attending IRB members but may not be counted as votes or the quorum for convened meetings.
