Sorry this IS certainly a shortcoming. Thank you for pointing this out. I have not implemented this. I kill them by hand too. When I am developing, I found usually I don't need to restart journald.py (handling logging) and idd.py (handling guid generation). They are quite stable. The SimpleHttpServer probably is the one you want to restart occasionally (which is something I am not proud of and I plan to replace it with web.py or bottle).

One thing I want to explain is that the SimpleHttpServer is not needed in deployment. In production we are deploying luban projects using apache and it has been working well.

I don't know if you use ipad.py daemon or not, it tends to be quite stable too. But if you do need to restart it, you can send sighup to it (usually this is only needed when you change your db schema).
