Hi,
I'm not sure if there is any interest in it, but I bundled up Lua for windows as a chocolatey package (I was just checking out how easy it is to create a chocolatey package).
I have not published it to chocolatey.org or anything.

Does anyone see value in a lua for windows chocolatey package being published there?
Cheers.

I don't this it would hurt anything. Plus other scripting languages are in there. I just can't see the group upkeeping the package. Do they require a maintainer for the chocolatey package?

No, but it probably wouldn't look great if it ended up stale or broken etc. I'd be happy to maintain an unofficial one, just wanted to check here first. It essentially just downloads the installer from the google code site. So it will only require updates when the installer is moved or a new version becomes available.

Sounds good. I think if it would be helpful for you, go for it.

If this gets more momentum on Windows, then it will be a very good distribution channel. Heaven knows that Windows can do with a package manager!  Installation was straightforward and the list of available packages is impressive.

I think Paul K's ZB Studio is another good candidate for packaging (although this will come with the *new* LfW which will happen (fairly) soon)
