Hello list,

just sharing this retrospective blog post that might interest some of you (from John MacFarlane, not me!) - https://pandoc.org/twenty-years-of-pandoc.html

Pandoc has always been one of my favorite examples of programs using Lua scripting with a non-C base language (in this case Haskell). John is also well-known in this community for his Lua modules around Markdown (lunamark, djot...)

I used pandoc + lua to write my thesis in markdown, it was such a pleasant
time using it. Pandoc deserves more love.

Thank you for sharing! I love Pandoc (and LuaLaTeX and ConTeX and of course Lua...) and this is an excellent read.
