> What would be required from the organization for hosting the Lua workshop?
Most Lua workshops are fairly basic. We need a good room with a
projector and coffee (and helpfully some food) for coffee breaks. We can
limit the number of participants depending on the capacity of the room;
a minimum of 50 seats would be convenient. Typically, the organizers
provide badges for the participants, but that is not mandatory.
For lunch, some organizers provided lunch (sometimes through food
boxes), some gave a list of nearby restaurants. It is traditional to
have some event at the evening of the first day. Again, some organizers
just say "let us meet" at some bar near the event, others provided
pizzas and bear, some others provided a more formal dinner.
We should announce the dates early and ask for talk proposals. Then,
your team and us schedule a program.
If you want, I can put you in contact with the guy that organized our
last international workshop, in Freiburg. He may have more accurate
data. (Our last workshop was in Brazil to celebrate 30 years of Lua;
it was quite atypical.)
