The Source Format: experiments

I've created two branches in the main repo, with Markdown+Pandoc
(ag/pandoc-test) and LaTeX (ag/latex-test).
Currently they contain some crude unfinished work on the chapter
layout and output generation pipeline.
Can't say that I like where both cases seem to be going...
I need some help on the LaTeX experiment. I believe that we have a few
LaTeX experts here, maybe someone of you can help me turning my
cargo-cult setup into something better?
As for the Markdown+Pandoc... we will need a custom pipeline... I have
not looked yet closely at the pandoc scripting stuff, but, anyway, it
will require some work.
Looking forward seeing Sphinx experiment as well.
I will get back to hacking something together tomorrow.

I can help you, but not today. I'm fairly conversant with LaTeX.
