Alpha Archaeology Pty Ltd is an archaeological consultancy based in Melbourne, with projects throughout Australia. Alpha is currently seeking expressions of interest from a suitably qualified archaeologist, preferably with three years plus experience, to join our team.  This position would ideally suit someone who is looking to take their career to the next level, to a more senior role.

Essential Criteria:
-          Three years plus experience in archaeology, predominantly Indigenous archaeology
-          Experience working with/knowledge of Western Australia and Commonwealth heritage legislation
-          Desire/ability to work with Traditional Owners in remote areas
-          Experience in archaeological survey, excavation, site identification, recording and assessment
-          Highly developed report writing skills

Desirable Criteria:
-          4WD experience, preferably to certificate level
-          Experience/willingness to work throughout Australia

While the successful candidate must be willing to travel to remote locations throughout Western Australia for fieldwork, the position is flexible in that the candidate can continue to be based in their current city of residence, with occasional travel to the Melbourne head office.

An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated, commensurate with experience.
